The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), functioning under the Central Government Ministry/Department, through its Institute Engineer, invites prospective bidders for an Open Tender process (Tender Reference Number: IWD/IE/E-Tender/EAU/RT-01/16, Tender ID: 2026_IITR_915410_1) for the Comprehensive Renovation and Modernization of the Auditorium within the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee. This significant project falls under a composite contract, encompassing both Civil and Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) Works, and is expected to be completed within a period of 120 days at the IIT Roorkee campus. The tender documents were made available for download starting July 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Interested parties may submit their bids from July 11, 2026, at 06:00 PM, with the deadline for both document download and bid submission set for July 22, 2026, at 06:00 PM. All submitted bids will be opened on July 23, 2026, at 06:00 PM, at the office of the Institute Engineer, IIT Roorkee. A non-refundable Tender Fee of ₹1,180 is required, payable to the Registrar, IIT Roorkee, in addition to an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹4,03,000, which is payable to the Institute Engineer IIT Roorkee, with EMD exemption allowed as per the tender stipulations. Bidders should be prepared for a two-cover submission system, covering Fee/Pre-Qualification/Technical aspects and Financial proposals, respectively. Accepted payment instruments for fees and EMD include Demand Draft, RTGS, FDR, NEFT, and Bankers Cheque. The bid validity period is set for 90 days.
