The Central Public Works Department (CPWD), through its EE&SM (E)-1 office in Gorakhpur, invites sealed bids for comprehensive electrical works associated with the construction of a functional permanent campus for the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Berhampur, Odisha. This project encompasses the construction of an Academic cum Administrative Building, multiple residential blocks of various types (G+6, S+9, S+7, S+10, G+1 Directors Residence), a 656-bedded hostel (S+8), kitchen cum dining, guest house, a 500-seated auditorium, health centre, community centre, and a commercial facility centre. The scope of work includes all internal and external electrical services, in addition to civil, mechanical, water treatment, sewage treatment plants, roads, footpaths, landscaping, and horticulture. The buildings are to be constructed with Monolithic Concrete Construction Technology and must be Fire, GRIHA, and IGBC compliant. A significant supplementary work includes the completion of pending incomplete Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) work for Type II and III B2 quarters at IISER Berhampur, to be carried out at the risk and cost of the contractor. The estimated cost for these electrical works is ₹ 3,66,346, with a bid validity period of 30 days. Bids must be submitted by 3:00 PM on August 22, 2026, with the bid opening scheduled for 3:30 PM on the same day.
