Emergency DG Set and Accessories Supply for 800 MW Sipat Power Project

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), on behalf of the Department of Heavy Industry, under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, is pleased to announce an Invitation to Bid for the supply of an Emergency Diesel Generator (DG) Set and associated accessories for the 1 X 800 MW Sipat project. This procurement, identified by Bid Number GEM/2026/B/7465650, seeks a total quantity of 32 units of a 2000 KVA, 1500 RPM, 415V, 0.80 pf lag Prime Power DG Set mounted on a common base frame with a radiator. The scope of supply also encompasses a 990-litre fuel day tank with accessories, a 24V DC 360 AH minimum Lead Acid Automotive Type Battery, a 24V DC Float cum Boost Battery Charger, necessary fuel piping from the day tank to the engine, a silencer, and exhaust piping with insulation and aluminium cladding extending up to 30 meters with supports. Furthermore, the tender includes galvanized pre-fabricated support structures for the exhaust piping (common for two DG sets), an acoustic enclosure for each DG set with ventilation and exhaust fans (if applicable) and lighting fixtures, LT power control and instrument cable including all accessories such as lugs, glands, and ties. Crucially, the supply will also include B-Check kits and filters to be provided at the time of commissioning, the first fill of lube oil, coolant, and coolant conditioner to be supplied at the time of commissioning, and the necessary tools and tackles for the offered DG set. The tender further specifies the inclusion of an alternator phase and neutral side terminal box with CT, mandatory spares for the DG sets, and an AMF Panel for each DG set. The scope extends to the supervision of erection of the DG set and accessories, as well as the supervision of testing, commissioning, and load trial of the DG set and accessories.
