This tender, issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) under Bid Number GEM/2026/B/7927062, is for the procurement and installation of an Automatic Weather Station (AWS) system. The scope of supply encompasses a comprehensive suite of meteorological sensors, including temperature and humidity sensors with radiation shields and mounting accessories, ultrasonic wind sensors with mounting accessories, various rain gauge sensors (TBRG, SNOW, and normal) with mounting accessories and optional heaters, and snow depth and snow water equivalent sensors, all requiring appropriate mounting accessories. The system necessitates a suitable power supply for heaters and sensors, comprising SMF batteries offering a minimum 20-day backup without charging, and solar panels with accessories for charging. Connectivity will be provided by a GPRS modem with dual SIM, 4G compatibility, 3G facility, and a minimum 8db antenna, all with mounting accessories.
