The Military Engineer Services (MES), E-IN-C BRANCH, through the Garrison Engineer Alipore, located at NO 1 NATIONAL LIBRARY AVENUE, ALIPORE, KOLKATA 700027, invites Open Tenders from eligible contractors for the specialized repair and replacement of old rusted steel windows in Buildings No. P-15/01, P-15/02, and P-14/02, along with other miscellaneous works within the CWE Complex under GE Alipore, Kolkata. This Civil Works project, referenced as Tender No. GE/ALP (8712) KOLKATA OF 2026-27, has an estimated value of ₹37,86,000/- and is expected to be completed within 180 days under an Item Rate contract. Prospective bidders are required to be registered as Class D and Category a(i) firms with MES. A non-refundable Tender Fee of ₹500/-, payable to the Garrison Engineer Alipore at Kolkata, is mandatory. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹75,720/- is also required, payable to the Garrison Engineer Alipore at Kolkata, with provision for exemption or submission through Bank Guarantee/ST. The tender documents were e-published and available for download from 22-Jul-2026 at 01:00 PM, with the download period concluding on 12-Aug-2026 at 06:00 PM. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 30-Jul-2026 at 01:00 PM at the Garrison Engineer Alipore office. Bids must be submitted in two covers. The first cover (Fee/Pre-qualification/Technical) requires an application, a duly renewed MES enlistment letter, tender cost instrument, EPFO and GST registration documents, documents proving enlistment criteria, and the EMD instrument (if applicable), along with details of present residual work in hand (for E Class firms). The second cover (Finance) will contain the Bill of Quantity (BOQ). Bid submission commences on 05-Aug-2026 at 05:00 PM and closes on 12-Aug-2026 at 06:00 PM. Technical bids will be opened on 15-Aug-2026 at 06:00 PM at the Garrison Engineer Alipore office. The submitted bids will remain valid for 60 days from the bid opening date.
