The Central Public Works Department (CPWD), a Central Government Ministry/Department, invites open tenders for the construction of a vertical extension of two additional floors (2nd and 3rd Floor) with four staircases (G+3) at the Rajendra Chola Boys Hostel in IMU, Semmancherry campus, Uthandi, Chennai. The project will be executed in EPC Mode, utilizing pre-cast concrete reinforced cement technology and includes pile foundation, IWS, sanitary installations, drainage, underground sump, internal electrical installations, power wiring, telephone conduits, lightening conductors, automatic fire alarm system, fire fighting with downcomer system, 2 passenger lifts (13 persons capacity), LAN system, and CCTV system. The estimated cost of the work is ₹ 10,53,51,243, with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹ 20,53,512 payable via DD, FDR, or BG in favor of Project Region Chennai - CE-CHENNAI - EE-CHENNAI-II. The deadline for document download and bid submission is 3:00 PM on February 26, 2026, with the bid opening scheduled for 3:30 PM on the same day. The project completion timeframe is 10 months.
