The Central Public Works Department (CPWD), specifically the EE&SM(C)-II, Karaikal Project Division-II, invites open tenders (NIT/RFP No: 06/EE&SM(C)-II/KPD-II/2026-27, Tender ID: 158572) from eligible contractors for a comprehensive civil works project. This significant undertaking involves the construction of a 456-bed boys' hostel, a vertical extension for the girls' hostel, Type III and Type IV staff quarters, a 300-seater semi-seater dining block, an indoor sports complex, and extensive associated external development works, including bulk services, internal roads, footpaths, paved areas, cross drainage, storm water drains, external water supply lines, underground sumps, and precast compound walls, all for NIT Puducherry, Karaikal. The estimated project cost is ₹ 94,72,996 (Ninety Four Lakh Seventy Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Six Rupees), with a mandatory Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹ 1,89,460, payable via Demand Draft, FDR, CDR, Banker's Cheque, or eBank Guarantee in favor of EE&SM(C)-2. The tender documents became available and bid submission commenced on 17th June 2026, 08:46 PM. Prospective bidders must submit their proposals by 11:00 AM on 25th June 2026, with the technical bids scheduled for opening on the same day at 11:30 AM. The stipulated time for completion of the entire work is 30 days. Mandatory submission documents include the EMD instrument, an original EMD receipt (if applicable), a valid CPWD Enlistment Order under the Composite Category, GST registration certificate (or a self-declaration/undertaking for non-registered bidders), a Declaration about Site Inspection (Form K), and a Certificate of ERP training (for CPWD contractors).
