Underground 11kV Cable Installation and Civil Works Project

The Department of Military Affairs, under the Ministry of Defence and on behalf of the Indian Army, hereby invites bids for a comprehensive supply, installation, and testing project. This tender, identified by Bid Number GEM/2026/B/7768168 and dated 25-07-2026, requires the provision of various critical components and services related to underground cable infrastructure. Specifically, the scope includes the supply, laying, and testing of XLPE insulated screened PVC bedded galvanized steel cables, along with extensive excavation in trenches, backfilling operations including spreading, levelling, watering, and ramming, and the removal of surplus soil up to a distance of 50 meters. The project also mandates the supply and laying of PCC cable covers (HV type 1, 300mmx180mmx40mm), dry, clean, dirtless river sand filling for cable protection (8cm deep before and 15cm after laying), and the supply and installation (MandL) of Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes (90mm dia). Furthermore, the tender calls for MandL for fixing GI tubing (80mm dia light grade) for cable protection, manual boring under road crossings for pipe laying, and the supply and installation of PCC cable route markers (900x300x70mm, embossed with HT UG cable 11kV). Finally, the project requires MandL for 11 KV Earthed grade cable jointing kits, including outdoor termination (heat shrink type) and straight-through heat shrink type joints, as well as the supply of Pick Axes conforming to IS 273 (Q4). The total estimated quantity for this multifaceted undertaking is 11270 units. Bids will be accepted from 11-08-2026 at 5:00 PM until the closing deadline of 12-08-2026 at 5:00 PM.
