LED Street Lighting Supply, Installation, and Commissioning

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), operating under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), is issuing Tender GEM/2026/B/7860774 for the comprehensive "Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of LED Street Lighting." This tender, with a bid start date of July 31, 2026, 3:24 PM, and a closing date of August 21, 2026, 4:00 PM, seeks the provision of 4287 units of integrated LED street lighting solutions. The scope of work meticulously detailed in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) includes the supply of robust 8-meter Steel Tubular Poles (STP) with appropriate brackets and accessories, alongside high-power LED luminaries equipped with in-built electronic drivers or control gear. Essential electrical components such as 3.5C and 4 Core Aluminium Conductor cables, brass compression glands and lugs, and specific sizes of FRLS or HFFR PVC insulated copper conductor single-core cable for existing conduits are also part of the requirement. Furthermore, the tender encompasses the laying of 63mm diameter DWC HDPE pipes with all necessary accessories, the erection and commissioning of the 8-meter STP and associated accessories, and the direct laying of Al XLPE armoured cable in the ground. Critical installation aspects include the erection of hot-dip galvanized octagonal poles, provision of RCC foundations for the 8-meter poles, laying of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed or XLPE power cables, and robust earthing systems for each street light pole and distribution box, adhering to IS specifications.
