Handcrafted Biodiversity Mural Art Installation and Exhibit Fabrication

The Revenue and Forest Department, Maharashtra, specifically the Forest Department's Maharashtra State Biodiversity Board Nagpur, is inviting bids for the comprehensive development and fabrication of a Handcrafted Mural Art installation, as detailed in Bid Number GEM/2026/B/7889513. This project, commencing on 10-08-2026 at 11:51 AM and concluding on 25-08-2026 at 8:00 PM, encompasses a wide array of services and materials. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, concept planning, design development, architectural drawings, 3D visualization, and the preparation of biodiversity content. Furthermore, the tender covers the fabrication and installation of various elements such as ACP entrance feature walls, branding, interpretation panels with UV printing, a Maharashtra Biodiversity Gallery, FRP wildlife models, biodiversity dioramas, habitat models, exhibition display cabinets, veneer WPC wall paneling, reception counter branding, and an indoor/outdoor signage system. Decorative false ceiling elements, electrical works, lighting systems, and visitor seating furniture are also integral parts of this tender. The project further mandates transportation, logistics, installation, commissioning, and robust project management and documentation. Specific fabrication requirements include MS structural framework, scaffolding, tools, safety arrangements, and skilled artisan/sculptor charges. A significant focus is placed on the creation of detailed biodiversity and wildlife heritage exhibits, including numerous FRP models such as giant honey bees, honeycomb ecosystems, ant colonies, underground ant nests, termite mounds, and displays of termite kings, queens, and soldiers, as well as giant wasp nests. Educational life cycle models and ACP platforms for displays, along with ACP UV-printed interpretation panels and LED lighting, are also specified. The project requires meticulous painting, finishing, and protective coatings. A key component is the handcrafted 3D relief mural sculpting, utilizing FRP reinforcement and surface texturing. The use of 18MM HDHMR board and 1MM PVC laminate sheets, along with appropriate hardware and accessories, is mandated, as is the use of 100KG of resin adhesive.
