The Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, through the office of XEN REW Kathua, is pleased to announce an open tender for the construction of three community compost pits located at specific sites within the Nagri area. This vital infrastructure project, with an estimated tender value of ₹1,50,000, aims to enhance local waste management and agricultural practices. The work involves the construction of individual compost pits, with precise locations detailed as: 1. Near the cattle shed of Dewan Chand Padyal in Pandori; 2. Near the residence of Mohd. Yaqoob, son of Mohd. Moosa, WNO 3, Folate B; and 3. Near the land of Kamal Jeet, WNO 3 Padyari. This tender opportunity is for a duration of 90 days for completion, and bidders are expected to maintain their bids for 120 days. The tender process will be conducted in two covers, with the first cover for Fee/PreQual/Technical documents and the second for Finance. The tender document is available for download from July 29, 2026, at 06:00 PM until August 10, 2026, at 04:00 PM. Bids must be submitted between July 29, 2026, 06:00 PM and August 10, 2026, 04:00 PM. The bid opening will take place on August 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM at XEN REW Kathua. A tender fee of ₹500 is applicable, payable to Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of 2.0% of the tender value, amounting to ₹3,000, is also required, payable to the same authority.
