Design, Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of 3032 x 40-Ton EOT Cranes and Bus-Bar Systems

Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, is pleased to issue this tender (Bid Number: GEM/2026/B/7778268) for the comprehensive Design, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of significant operational assets. The scope of work encompasses the design and supply of thirty hundred and thirty-two (3032) units of 40-ton Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) cranes, adhering strictly to detailed specifications. This vital project also involves the meticulous dismantling of existing cranes and the subsequent installation, testing, and commissioning of the new 40T cranes. Furthermore, the tender includes the supply of a Bus-Bar system, along with the dismantling of the existing system and the installation, testing, and commissioning of a new Bus-bar system, all in accordance with specified requirements. A crucial component of this procurement is the design, supply, fixing, levelling, jointing, and aligning of the EOT crane track rail system. The project will also see the supply and fabrication of robust walkway platforms constructed from 6mm chequered plates of approved makes such as SAIL or equivalent, including all necessary consumables, cutting, welding, hoisting, and fixing of plates in position. Additionally, the scope covers the supply, fabrication, and precise fixing of structural steel elements, including MS angles and other required structural members, alongside the fabrication and fixing of structural steel items such as MS plates of required thickness for sole and base plates and other suitable structural components. The entire project will be completed with the application of two coats of aluminum paint over a single coat of zinc-rich primer to the bottom and top surfaces of all walkway platforms and other structural members.
